Sarah Black is a young girl who happens to live on a highly unstable island in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. She is in the process of obtaining a M.Sc. in Immunology and plans to earn a Ph.D. in Immunology or Molecular Biology some day. She also dreams of going on a world tour, hopefully after finishing her M.Sc. education.

She enjoys reading, writing (mostly in this blog) and surfing the net in an endless quest for gossip and entertainment. One of her favourite hobbies is to pose for photographs, although she is not nearly delusional enough to think she could model for a living.

Sarah has happily been a member of the Harry Potter fandom since the spring of 2001 and has been writing stuff down in a blog since the summer of 2002.

She is also waltzing with the Pirates of the Caribbean fandom, the House MD fandom and she dabbles in the Doctor Who fandom every now and then too. Recently, she has also fallen in love with Jareth the Labyrinth fandom. However, she is mostly a lurker.

Her tastes in music are rather varied, although techno and rap are perhaps not the most common genres to be found on her iPod. Muse is without a doubt her favourite band, and Matthew Bellamy is considered to be at least a minor deity in her "religion."

While on the subject, Sarah does not partake in organized religion. She might be defined as being an Agnostic atheist, that is to say, she does not believe anyone can prove there is a god, just as no one can prove there isn't. But she's inclined to think that there isn't.



Other interests include baking, swimming, dancing, pen&paper role playing, LARPing and having long conversations with people with interesting opinions and the ability to put those opinions forward logically. (And drinking Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain...)
